DJ G9D's Thursday afternoon Music Picks and WSOU rant

I would like to start a new segment here at the Good Times Webzine. Since me and Alexx Sounds are both DJs, it seems appropriate that we tell people what to listen to. First and foremost tune into my show every Saturday from 2pm-5pm on WSOU 89.5 in NYC. if your not in the NY/NJ area then stream it live from WWW.WSOU.NET

I also take requests @ 973-761-WSOU
It is mostly a Rock/Metal station but it is commercial free and the music is not pre-programmed. Here is some more information about WSOU:
This is a Rolling Stones Article entitled "The 125-Plus People, Places and Things Ruling the Rock & Roll Universe" from a few Months ago:
BEST RADIO STATION

WSOU89.5 FM wsou.net
Run by students, Seton Hall University's WSOU plays the loudest of the loud in alt-rock, metal, hardcore, punk and prog, from Meshuggah to the Mars Volta.

Check out the whole article at:
http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/20200609
WSOU is also the Metal Station of the year for 2007, according to FMQB, the most influential industry magazine in the Radio Business.

Check out all the Award winners here:
http://www.fmqb.com/article.asp?id=528041
WSOU was also nominated for the "most team spirit" award by the College Music Journal (CMJ)

Here is a link to those awards:
http://prod1.cmj.com/articles/display_article.php?id=49047299
So as you can see WSOU is definitely worth checking out for the following reasons:

It is run by students

We actually play listener requests

We do not follow a playlist that has been pre-programmed

We don't only play singles

We are commercial free

We are not owned by a media conglomerate like most stations

It is an Award winning Station that is respected by the industry

Most Importantly, it has been the home of DJ G9D for over 5 years!

Now, on to the matter at hand.
