An Arab language news network in Iran reports Russian fighter jets intercepted Israeli aircraft on an espionage mission near the Syrian border on Sunday.<br />

Alalam quotes the Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth daily as saying the Russians forced the Israeli aircraft to change course after they were detected with radar.<br />
<br />
The Russians blocked the Israeli aircraft while flying over the Akkar region of northern Lebanon and sent a warning they would open fire if they violated Syrian airspace.<br />
<br />
According to the Iranian HispanTV website the Israeli mission was to spy in Russian ships docked at Tartus where Russia maintains a naval facility.<br />
<br />
Additionally, the Iranians reported, the Israelis wanted to monitor the movement of Russian aircraft at the Latakia air base to detect “alleged transfer of arms to Lebanese Hezbollah militias.”<br />
<br />
In September Israel and Russia reached an agreement to coordinate military actions over Syria in order to avoid trading fire.<br />
<br />
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said after a meeting in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin the agreement was intended to “prevent misunderstandings between IDF (Israel Defense Force) units and Russian forces” in Syria.<br />

The Russian aircraft, en route to Cyprus from the Syrian Hmimim airbase, entered the flight path of the Israeli jets.<br />
<br />
The Israelis avoided provoking the Russians and diverted at high speed toward Lebanon, according to the report.<br />
<br />
The encounter prompted the Israelis to protest. The Russians responded by demanding an explanation why the Israeli Air Force is conducting flights off the Syrian coast.<br />
<br />
“The incident was ignored by the major news agencies,” the French website reports.<br />
<br />
Israel routinely enters Syrian airspace. In August, the Israelis conducted an airstrike against a vehicle on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights.<br />
<br />
An Israeli army helicopter launched a number of rockets into Syria the same month, striking the transportation directorate and the governorate building in Quneitra.<br />
<br />
More recently the IDF attacked Syrian military targets in the Golan Heights after errant Syrian mortar fire landed inside the Israeli occupied Golan.<br />
<br />
Israel routinely enters Lebanese airspace, a practice condemned by the United Nations. The UN says the flights are in violation of Security Council decisions.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel's military deployed hundreds of troops in the West Bank on Friday, a day after a drive-by shooting by suspected Palestinian gunmen killed a Jewish settler couple driving home with their children.<br />
<br />
The attack took place late Thursday when gunmen opened fire at a vehicle travelling near the Palestinian village of Beit Furik. The shots killed Eitam and Naama Henkin, residents of the Jewish West Bank settlement of Neria. Their four young children, including a four-month old infant, were in the back seat of the car, but were unharmed.<br />
<br />
On Friday, Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon visited the site, pledging to catch the perpetrators and, like other Israeli politicians, blaming Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for inciting such violence.<br />
<br />
Thousands attended the parents' funeral on Friday in Jerusalem, including Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.<br />
<br />
"We cannot stand silently when the hands of murderers steal a loving mother and father away from their children," Rivilin said in a eulogy. "We are facing a brutal terrorist onslaught."<br />
<br />
The attack comes on the heels of a series of Palestinian rock and firebomb attacks that have prompted Israel to vow to quash such threats.<br />
<br />
It also followed a hard-line speech at the United Nations by Abbas, the last of several that Israeli leaders have condemned as incitement. Abbas has said that Israelis desecrate a Jerusalem holy site with their "dirty feet" and charged that Israel was committed to the "ethnic cleansing" of his people.<br />
<br />
Speaking before the U.N. General Assembly, Abbas said Israel had repeatedly violated its commitments, most notably by expanding settlements in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, on lands the Palestinians seek for a future state, and accused Israel of waging "a new war of genocide ... against the Palestinian people."<br />
<br />
"A people whose leader encourages murder will never have a state and this must be stated clearly," said Cabinet minister Naftali Bennett, head of the pro-settler Jewish Home party.<br />
<br />
Settler leaders said they planned to stage a protest in front of the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — who is currently in New York after addressing the United Nations — to demand tougher action to defend the settlers from militants.<br />
<br />
Gaza's Islamic militant Hamas rulers welcomed Thursday's attack but stopped short of claiming responsibility for it. Abbas' Palestinian Authority did not comment on the attack.<br />
<br />
Tensions have continued to flare between Israelis and Palestinians over the Jerusalem site known to Jews as the Temple Mount, home to the biblical Temples, and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary, site of the Al-Aqsa mosque and the spot from where the Prophet Muhammad is said to have ascended to heaven.

Israeli Likud Minister Yuval Steinitz will tell the United States, Russia and other world powers Israel will not tolerate Iranian forces near its border, the Jerusalem Times reported on Tuesday.<br />
<br />
Steinitz made the remark as Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, flew to New York to address the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday.<br />
<br />
“In all of our discussions, first and foremost with the United States, but also with Russia and the rest of the world powers, we must make sure that the Iranian forces will stay in Iran,” Steinitz told Israel’s Army Radio.<br />
<br />
“Nobody wants to see Russian forces in the area of the Golan Heights, but we definitely don’t want to see Iranian forces near Israel,” he added.<br />
<br />
Israel captured the Golan Heights from Syria during the Six Day War in June, 1967. The territory was officially annexed in 1981.<br />
<br />
Israel fired on Syrian forces in the Quneitra region over the weekend when errant mortar fire landed in the captured territory.<br />
<br />
Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon said on Monday Syria had crossed a “red line” in its battle with proxy forces attempting to overthrow the government of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.<br />
<br />
“Israel does not intend to ignore these incidents. We see the Syrian government as responsible for what happens in Syrian territory,” Yaalon said.<br />
<br />
Preparations for Ground Invasion of Syria<br />
<br />
In August it was reported that Israel is preparing for a possible ground invasion of Syria.<br />
<br />
The Israelis began large division-scale training in the occupied Golan Heights in mid-August under the pretext ISIS may invade and also citing the presence of Hezbollah fighters in Syria.<br />
<br />
Israel and Hezbollah fought a war in 2006 in Lebanon, northern Israel and the Golan Heights. Some analysts consider the 34-day war as the first Iran-Israel proxy conflict.<br />
<br />
“In the scenarios envisioned by the IDF, heavily-armed terrorist cells would infiltrate the Israeli side of the Golan and attack Jewish and Druze villages there, necessitating a strong Israeli response in Syria,” Israel Today reported on August 17.<br />
<br />
The announcement of invasion preparations coincide with the possibility Israel my move its borders east “to protect the Druze and other non-hostile populations that are today threatened by the Islamists,” the website reported.<br />
<br />
On Tuesday Israel Today reported the country “fears unintentional exchanges of fire between its own forces and the Russian military in Syria. Such a flare-up between Israeli and Iranian forces could give Tehran the excuse it needs to launch a long-range missile assault on the Jewish state.”<br />
<br />
The Kuwaiti newspaper Alrai has cited “official sources” as saying Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Russia have launched a “joint operations room” to coordinate their campaign to defeat the Islamic state.<br />
<br />
The Times of Israel reported on Saturday:<br />
The newspaper quotes official sources as saying that each party will be responsible for particular areas of Syria, with Russia operating in Latakia, Hama and some parts of the Aleppo province, while Iran will be defending the capital Damascus and down to Quneitra on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights. The report also states that some 100 Iranian special forces trained in urban warfare have arrived in Damascus<br />
<br />
Israel claims the Syrian Army has received “substantial support” from Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and “most notably fellow Iranian client Hezbollah,” the paramilitary group formed after Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982.<br />
<br />
The Kuwaiti report also said the Syrian military has given dozens of Soviet-era tanks tanks to Hezbollah.<br />

The Israeli Air Force struk three terrorist infrastructure sites, including a Hamas run telecommunications facility in the North of Gaza, early Saturday morning in response to multiple rocket attacks from the coastal enclave the previous day.<br />
<br />
The IDF Spokesperson's Office released a statement saying that the IDF viewed the rocket attacks on Israel with the utmost severity and that it would not tolerate attempts to harm Israeli citizens.<br />
<br />
The IDF said that Hamas was responsible for the attack. <br />
<br />
Just before midnight Friday evening, an Iron Dome anti-rocket battery shot down a Gazan rocket over the southern city of Ashkelon.<br />
<br />
There were no injuries or damages, the IDF said.<br />
<br />
Warning sirens rang out across the city, sending residents fleeing for cover, before Iron Dome went into action. It was the second rocket attack by terrorists in Gaza within a few hours.<br />
<br />
A Salafist organization affiliated with Islamic State calling itself "The Sheikh Omar Hadid Brigade" took responsibility for the rocket attack on Ashkelon after posting a statement on Twitter.<br />
<br />
And earlier Friday,  a Palestinian rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip exploding in Sderot, causing damage to a home and a nearby bus.<br />
<br />
Rocket sirens sounded in the western Negev town as well as surrounding localities shortly after sunset as Jews in Israel sat down for Sabbath dinner.<br />
<br />
Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said a rocket exploded in Sderot, causing damage but no injuries. A bus in the southern city sustained damage in the attack.<br />
<br />
The IDF added that it detected a single rocket launched from Gaza.<br />
<br />
According to reports, the rocket struck the front yard of a home in Sderot, causing light damage to the residence and a bus that was parked nearby. There are believed to be no injuries.

As the White House secured their last needed vote to block a veto override in the Senate on the nuclear deal, Iran unleashed a double-pronged attack: vowing to block inspector access to some sites, and vowing to continue preparations to destroy Israel.<br />
<br />
Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said today that the International Atomic Energy Agency — which inked confidential deals with Tehran that Congress has not been able to see — would not be able to see all the facilities it wants to.<br />
<br />
“Iran does not plan to issue permission for the IAEA to inspect every site,” Dehqan said in an interview with al-Mayadeen news network on Wednesday, reported the semi-official Fars News Agency.<br />
<br />
Back in July, he stressed that “missile-related issues have never been on agenda of the nuclear talks and the Islamic system will resolutely implement its programs in this field.”<br />
<br />
“The US officials make boastful remarks and imagine that they can impose anything on the Iranian nation because they lack a proper knowledge of the Iranian nation.”<br />
<br />
Also today, a senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps said they have work to do.<br />
<br />
The IRGC’s top commander in Tehran province, Brigadier General Mohsen Kazzemeini, told operating units undergoing drills in the capital that “they (the US and the Zionists) should know that the Islamic Revolution will continue enhancing its preparedness until it overthrows Israel and liberates Palestine,” according to Fars.<br />
<br />
“And we will continue defending not just our own country, but also all the oppressed people of the world, specially those countries that are standing on the forefront of confrontation with the Zionists,” Kazzemeini said.<br />
<br />
Iran’s Press TV mused that “questions remain on how far Tel Aviv would really go, with its warmongering premier Benjamin Netanyahu, to disrupt the accord,” rhetoric that’s potentially setting the stage for an attack on Israel that they’d call defensive.<br />

A new United Nations report says Gaza could be "uninhabitable" in less than five years if current economic trends continue.<br />
<br />
The report released Tuesday by the U.N. Conference on Trade and Development points to the eight years of economic blockade of Gaza as well as the three wars between Israel and the Palestinians there over the past six years.<br />
<br />
Last year's war displaced half a million people and left parts of Gaza destroyed.<br />
<br />
The war "has effectively eliminated what was left of the middle class, sending almost all of the population into destitution and dependence on international humanitarian aid," the new report says.<br />
Gaza's GDP dropped 15 percent last year, and unemployment reached a record high of 44 percent. Seventy-two percent of households are food insecure.<br />
<br />
The wars have shattered Gaza's ability to export and produce for the domestic market and left no time for reconstruction, the report says. It notes that Gaza's "de-development," or development in reverse, has been accelerated.<br />
<br />
Israel and Egypt have maintained a blockade of Gaza since the Islamic militant group Hamas seized control of the territory in 2007.<br />
<br />
The report comes as Egyptian military bulldozers press ahead with a project that effectively would fill Egypt's border with the Gaza Strip with water and flood the last remaining cross-border underground smuggling tunnels, which have brought both commercial items and weapons into Gaza.<br />
The report calls the economic prospects for 2015 for the Palestinian territories "bleak" because of the unstable political situation, reduced aid and the slow pace of reconstruction.<br />

Nasim Hilmi Karaki, a lieutenant colonel with the Palestinian Authority national security forces, said Wednesday that the Israelis stole money and jewelry from his family home in the northern West Bank village of Salem, east of Nablus, Palestinian Ma’an news agency reported.<br />

The Israelis forced their way through the main door of the residence. The Palestinian security officer was cuffed and forced to stay with the rest of the family in one of the rooms. Karaki said the house was ransacked for at least four hours.<br />
<br />
According to Karaki, the Israeli forces were searching for firearms but were unable to find any.<br />
<br />
The Israelis also detained Karaki’s 18-year-old son, identified as Hilmi. Karaki’s son was one of dozens of Palestinians detained by Israeli forces across the occupied West Bank overnight Tuesday.<br />
<br />
On Wednesday, Israeli forces kidnapped 16 Palestinians in Nablus, 12 in Bethlehem, two in Ramallah and one in Jericho in their predawn raids on Palestinian homes.<br />
<br />
The Israeli regime forces regularly raid Palestinian homes and abduct residents across the occupied territories by applying the overused pretext of perceived security threats.<br />
<br />
Nearly 7,000 Palestinian prisoners are currently being kept in Israeli detention centers, many without charge or trial.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Ultra-nationalist Israelis took over a four-story building in the heart of an Arab neighborhood in east Jerusalem on Thursday, raising fears of fresh violence in the tense area.</div>

A small group of activists from the Ateret Cohanim settler organization moved into the rundown white stone building. It was the latest in a wave of settler advances since nationalist Jews began buying up properties in densely populated Palestinian areas two decades ago.</div>

The building is located in Silwan, a rundown neighborhood that is home to several hundred Jewish residents and some 50,000 Palestinians. Israeli soldiers were guarding the latest wave of settlers.</div>

An Iranian general was quoted as saying "We want to tell the world that those who conduct their foreign policy by using the language of threat against Iran have to know that our finger is always on the trigger and we have hundreds and even thousands of missiles ready to be fired against predetermined targets." The primary test missile was the Shahab 3 with an estimated range of 1,250 miles (2,000km). There were other missiles tested as well with a range of no more than 400km for either. A defense expert in an interview in regard to the Shahab 3 was quoted saying<span style="font-family:georgia;"> "</span><span style="font-family: georgia;font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  >They do have a capability to hit some of Eastern Europe and southern Russia but not particularly deep into those countries. Obviously, we don't have very solid information on Iran's missiles, they don't release a lot of information but we think that their Shahab-3 has got a range about 1,300 kilometers while it's improved the version of Shahab-3A, it's stretched its length to get some more fuel into the tanks and they've cut the weight of the warhead by more than half; we think that can do up to 1,800 kilometers. Now if you look at the map of Europe, Volgograd is 1,100 kilometers from Iran and certainly Volgograd was in Europe the last time I looked. That sort of narrow range would get you just about to Istanbul; there's certainly no argument that bit of Turkey is in Europe, that's about 1,400 kilometers from just inside the Iranian border. If you move to the longer-range figure (1,800 kilometers), then you get more cities of East Europe starting to come into range. Eighteen hundred [kilometers] will give you Iran to Kyiv, just about Iran to Athens, I suspect, Iran to Bucharest." IRAN and it's "Crushing Response" - Part 1

One Iranian Revolutionary Guard (their little dumb ass military) spokesperson Ali Shirazi was quoted saying "The Zionist regime is pushing the White House to prepare for a military strike on Iran," Shirazi was also quoted as saying. "If such a stupidity is done by them, Tel Aviv and the U.S. naval fleet in the Persian Gulf will be the first targets which will be set on fire in Iran's crushing response." I don't know if they got the memo but they will be going up against the most efficient war machine of our time, the Jews. Let's face the facts here, Iran is really not ready for to fend itself off against the US. And for them to strike anything in the Gulf that is even closely associated with the US would be a sign of blithering idiocy. Lets take a look at air superiority capabilities between the three sides. Lets first take a look at American Air Force Technology. The Lockheed Martin/Boeing F-22 Raptor is a fighter aircraft that uses stealth technology. It is primarily an air superiority fighter, but has multiple capabilities that include ground attack, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence roles. The United States Air Force considers the F-22 a critical component of the U.S. strike force.The F-22 is claimed by multiple sources to be the world’s most <a href="http://home.pon.net/hunnicutt/images/F22.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://home.pon.net/hunnicutt/images/F22.jpg" style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 200px;" /></a>effective air superiority fighter. The US Air Force states that the F-22 cannot be matched by any known or projected fighter aircraft. The F22 is capable of Mach 1.75 in supercruise mode. The F22 also has mid air refueling capabilities and carries a deadly arsenal of the newest "smart weapons" stored internally to maintain its low radar cross section. To make a long story short, you can't shoot down what you can't see and if you can see it, you can't get missile lock on it. A single F22 can take on up seven or more F16's with minimal effort. Now like every country they will have numerous aircraft in service so I will only write about their most commonly used ones. The aircraft in the photo to the left is Iranian built HESA Azarakhsh (which in Persian translates to Lightning). It capabilities are to fly and miss all their shots. The Iranians are a crafty bunch wouldn't you say? Moving on. The Iranians also have 29 F4 Phantoms (yes, wow, we haven't used those since Vietnam) and 35 Russian built MiG 29's. But the aircraft model they most commonly use is the American built Northrop F5 Freedom Fighter (pic left). Plus 79 F14's that America sold them before 1979. So it seems we'll be doing most of the fighting against our own aircraft from the 60's and 70's. We're just shaking in our boots now. Oh no!<br />Snapple Fact: Did you know that America sells $14 million dollars worth of bull semen to Iran each year. Deadly, no. It's the Russian built MiG 29. An aircraft that has been around since 1977. All jokes aside however, rumors have been surfacing about an arms deal between the Iranians and Russia. The arms deal is a purchase, by Iran, from Russia, a total of 250 Su-37 Flankers  (blue and yellow aircraft in the two photos to the left)(in case you wondering the black one is the new Su-47). 250 Su-37's would make formidable opponents in a <a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/ba/Su37_02.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/ba/Su37_02.jpg" style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 200px;" /></a>retaliatory attack of that nature, that is, if this arms deal goes through.) Additionally, the Su-37 incorporates the AL-37FU engines equipped with thrust vectoring. The Su-37’s nozzles are variable in pitch only, but unlike the F22 Raptor they can be operated differentially to provide a rolling movement. Also unlike the F22 Raptor this plane has no stealth  technologies. Let's take a look at a some hypothetical air combat scenarios that might play out. For example, Israel launches a secret strike on Iranian nuclear installations. Ahmadinejad's vein and arteries in the neck and forehead swell up from anger <a href="http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/para/images/hizballah-rocket-image01.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/para/images/hizballah-rocket-image01.jpg" style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 200px;" /></a>(Ahmadinejad is Iran's president, His pic is on the top of this post.)(You know, being that this is an American blog, some people may not have known that.) Now at this point lets say that Ahmadinejad launches an air strike on Israel (Now also at this point the Hezzbollah would also probably fire a whole bunch of those bullshit Katyusha rockets across the border, they do it like rocketry is their hobby or something.) Israel would probably already be expecting such a retaliatory attack. Israel has an Air Arsenal of 72 F15 Eagles and an additional 25 of the F15 Strike <a href="http://www.darkgovernment.com/images/IAF.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://www.darkgovernment.com/images/IAF.jpg" style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 200px;" /></a>Eagle variant. Their Air Force also comprises of more than 300 F16 Fighting Falcons in three different variants (But we only know what they tell us.) So when Iran, does send its Vietnam War Era Phantom F4's and it's minuscule fleet of MiG 29's, it will be, how Borat would say, a not great success against the Jew for Iran. The Jew come with the claw bitch! Let's say America aided in this operation and they go after a warship in the gulf. They'd be finished before they find the ship. I can't really think of any viable scenarios that would play out as this overwhelming "crushing response" from Iran.
